On February 20th night 2001, Al-Qabas for Visually Impairment Students, where blind Palestinian students study and sleep, came under attack from Israeli positions in the Psagot settlement located on the hill overlooking the school in Al-bireh. The school got a direct hit from a tank shell and heavy rounds of bullets penetrated the student's dorms.
Some pictures from the aftermath are below. There were no physical injuries thanks to attendants' help in moving the students to inter alleys and under staircases. There were numerous Cases of shock and psychological complications.
